With the recent Penguin update, I saw that sites that I had linked mostly or exclusively from other related, high PR blogs I owed survived the updated unscathed, while those that I used nearly any other linking method on were hurt. When I check the incoming links to my “money” websites using services like Majestic SEO, I see that they nearly always show that the links I have coming from my own private blog network are my MOST powerful and important links! And since I control my network, I can also make sure that my private network blogs are full of high quality content and NOT SPAM.
